Rooted in Aylmer, Ontario
At Kalina Digital Media, I honour that the land I live, work, and create upon is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Attawandaron (Neutral) Peoples, held in relationship through the Upper Canada Treaties, including Treaties 3 and 6.
These lands have been home to vibrant Nations whose stewardship, governance, and cultural teachings continue to shape this region.
I acknowledge that settler colonialism is not only part of our past, it is an ongoing reality.
With this awareness, I accept my responsibility to support Indigenous sovereignty, uphold treaty relationships, and engage in practices that nurture respect, reciprocity, and truth.
I believe that Indigenous knowledge, creativity, and land‑based wisdom are essential guides as we work toward a more sustainable, just, and equitable future.
Their teachings remind us how to live in a deeper relationship with the land, with each other, and with the stories we carry.
With gratitude, I honour the First Peoples of these lands, past, present, and future, and commit to walking forward with humility, awareness, and care.
